Ballarat Beard & Moustache Union

Established in Ballarat, Victoria in 2014, the Ballarat Beard & Moustache Union (BBMU) is a facial-hair club bringing together competitors, growers, supporters and enthusiasts from Ballarat and beyond.

The club promotes the appreciation of beards, moustaches and facial hair through competitions, events, social gatherings, charitable activities and involvement with the wider Australian and international beard and moustache scene.

BBMU members take part in events locally, around Australia and overseas, while the club also supports opportunities for people to meet, compete, raise funds and stay connected with the broader facial-hair community.

You do not need to have a beard or moustache to be involved. Whether you compete, grow facial hair, support someone who does, help behind the scenes or simply enjoy the culture around it, you are welcome.

The BBMU is a member club of the World Beard and Moustache Association (WBMA) and maintains connections with beard and moustache clubs, events and competitors around the world.

Our members have taken part in events throughout Australia and internationally, helping represent Ballarat within the wider facial-hair community.
